Hi, I’m Kristina and am the owner and lead gardener at Joie Garden Care.  I studied horticulture in the Horticultural Technician program at Niagara College and have been gardening for public and private gardens since 2016. 

I believe in using ecological gardening methods to make residential landscapes foster greater biodiversity.  Instead of spraying toxic chemicals, we should encourage natural pest control agents like songbirds and beneficial insects to create ecological balance in our gardens. Native plants serve this purpose very well by providing shelter and delicious food for our outdoor friends. They are also gorgeous in different seasons, pleasing to the eyes.

My goal as a gardener is to make urban gardens visually appealing and biodiverse sanctuaries where nature can co-exist in harmony with humans. I hope to support more people to do this in their private urban oases and am thinking of more ways how I can serve you better.
